I would like to send a big shout out to all who helped with Angel Tree this year!! Through no fault of their own, many children go without Christmas gifts. Angel Tree allows us to be the hands of feet of Jesus, as we buy and deliver gifts to children of incarcerated parents. As always, First UMC went above and beyond to help this ministry. Forty children from 18 families received gifts in the Kearney and Grand Island areas.
Thank you from the bottom of Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who participated in Angel Tree—those who purchased gifts, and those who delivered them. Special thanks to the W3 Bible Study Ladies, Sharron Altmaier and the women of the Prayer Shawl group for the nice scarves and hats, Lori O'Brien for arranging with Trinity UMC in Grand Island to deliver gifts in their city, and last but not least - my family. This process starts in October at my house- thank you for helping with whatever I need.
