Kearney First UMC Children's Ministry

Why Children's Ministry?

We want to come alongside parents in the spiritual development of their children by offering a safe and loving environment to learn about God.  Together, we as the faith community of First UMC strive to live out our mission to Love God, Love our Neighbors, and make disciples of Christ.

VBS 2025 Highlight

What a fantastic adventure we had explore the Alaskan Wilderness while learning about how Jesus is always there for us!  Thank you to all the volunteers and individuals who donated items to make this week possible!

Upcoming Children's Events

Come join us for our Fall Festival on Wednesday, October 8 from 5:30-7:30PM in the north parking lot! There will be food, games, pumpkin carving and more! This is event is open to all ages! We will not be hosting a trunk-or-treat this year. If you’d like to sponsor a booth or game, please contact Jeanine!

Children's Ministry Offerings

Sunday School

PreK-5th Grade

Sunday Mornings at 10 AM! During the school year, check-in is located inside the double doors leading to the Gym! All classrooms are located upstairs.

During the Summer, we do a "one-room" Sunday School in the Crusader's Room!
