Outreach Missions
Be the hands and feet of Christ
One of the keystones of Christian life is sharing our gifts and our talents. Jesus asked us to care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the needy. We’ve been asked to help our brothers and sisters in Christ and reach out to those that may not know Him yet. Below, you'll find details about the many outreach missions, both local and international, that we support as a church.
Local Outreach Missions
Crossroads Mission Avenue
Crossroads is a place for men, women, and children to go to when they are in a crisis. Crossroads introduces them to the Lord and helps them stand on a firm foundation. They provide food, shelter, clothing, and a family of support for those in need. Through their four-phase program, those in need learn how to be personally resilient, hold a steady job, manage finances, and become leaders. They bring glory to God by helping others.
East Lawn Food Pantry
The East Lawn Food Pantry provides food for 60-70 families daily and has served thousands since its opening in 2011. It is located at East Lawn Mobile Home Estates 2800 Grand Ave. #342. Through generous donations of inventory and volunteered time, they continue to provide food, clothing, and basic hygiene items to any who need help in the community. Donations can be brought to the church.
Food distribution occurs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 PM.
Jubilee Center
Kearney Jubilee Center is a non profit, ecumenical, community-based organization aimed at providing the most basic of human needs while advocating for social justice. They strive to maintain client dignity while offering supportive services in the areas of food, clothing, rent and utility assistance, and medication assistance.
United Way of the Kearney Area
United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. They use their infrastructure and experience to efficiently turn donations into results through its relationships with its many local partners. They have impacted thousands of lives.
