Please join us for our Ash Wednesday service on February 18th at 7PM. This service will feature music from all of our musical groups.

The East Lawn Food Ministry is in need of volunteers to complete various tasks on Saturday Mornings and join the pick-up substitute list.  Contact the church office if you are interested volunteering.

The spring Endowment Grant cycle is open! If you or a church group you are a part of have a project you’d like funded or partially funded by a grant, please contact or stop by the church office to pick up an application. All applications are due by noon on Friday, March 6th.

Griefshare will begin on February 2nd. This is a free 13 week course designed to help you find healing and comfort after the loss of a loved one. Sessions will be held Monday nights at 7 pm in the Seeker’s classroom. If you’d like to join this session, please contact the church office.

February is Heart for the Hungry month! Our children and youth are hosting a non-perishable food drive to help stock the East Lawn food pantry! You can drop off donations in the Gathering Area~

A special Lenten Bible Study will be offered on Mondays, February 23 and March 2,9,16,23, and 30 at Noon in the Heritage Room. The study is “Finding Jesus in the Psalms, a Lenten Journey” by Barb Roose. This study has a short video, a short book, and lots of conversation starters for us as we navigate the Psalms together. Sign up with the church office. Books have been ordered and can be picked up in the office soon. Let us know if you plan to join us!

The Youth Together are collecting “Coins for Lent.” They invite you to assist them with saving your coins in jars for Easter. Both the Middle School and High School students are participating and are selecting a mission to donate all of the coins to following Easter. They may ask you to help, stop by your SS/Small group, or invite your family to join them. This is part of an initiative of our Great Plains Conference as we lean into Lent together.

Our radio broadcast ministry is now a call-in sermon ministry.  You can call 308-208-6336 to listen to Sunday’s scripture and sermon!  The sermon will be uploaded on Sunday afternoon and is available 24/7 until the next Sunday’s upload.  If you’d like to listen to the full service, you can find it on the sermon archive page of our website, our YouTube channel, or on our mobile app!

On Thursday, February 26th, we will have a pickleball group starting up! The first meeting is an intro to pickleball. This group is open to all ages and limited equipment will be provided. Whether you’re a pickleball pro or a beginner, all are welcome to join in the fun! This group will meet every 4th Thursday of the month from 6-7pm in the gym. Enter the church using the North door.

Our college scholarship application has also opened! We have 6 categories of scholarships available for high school seniors, college students, and seminary students. You can find the application on the Youth page of our church website or at the main church office. Scholarship applications are due at noon on Friday, March 6th

Serendipity Groups are beginning soon! These groups are a great way to meet new friends within the church. Contact Arlene Shoemaker or the church office for more information!

The Mission Group is hosting a shrove Tuesday pancake feed on Tuesday, February 17th from 5-6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall!

Join us for a Valentine’s Brunch on Sunday, February 22nd from 10-1 in the Fellowship Hall. Donations for the meal are welcome and invited. We will have delicious food, fruit and breads, as well as beverages for you to enjoy. Bring the whole family or your small groups… All are welcome as we support the youth ministry students with FUMC.

The Health and Wellness winter blood drive will take place on Friday, February 13th from 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. at the Red Cross Office. You can sign up for a donation time in-between services in the gathering area.
