What's Going On At Kearney First UMC?

The first reading plan of 2026 is available under the about tab of our website! This plan covers December 29th through Ash Wednesday, February 18th.

Thank you to all who contributed to the Angel Tree ministry this year! Through your generosity, we were able to serve 22 families with 51 angels here in Kearney. They were so grateful you helped bridge the gap between families and helped them realize they are not forgotten. Thank you again!

The East Lawn Food Ministry is in need of volunteers to complete various tasks on Saturday Mornings and join the pick-up substitute list.  Contact the church office if you are interested volunteering.

Griefshare will begin on February 2nd. This is a free 13 week course designed to help you find healing and comfort after the loss of a loved one. Sessions will be held Monday nights at 7 pm in the Seeker’s classroom. If you’d like to join this session, please contact the church office.

A new member class will be held on Sunday, February 1st during the 10 A.M. Connect and Grow hour in the Gathering Area! This class is open to all who are interested in joining our church!

Our church office hours have changed! We will be open 8am-4pm Monday through Thursday and 8am-Noon on Fridays!

Our radio broadcast ministry is now a call-in sermon ministry.  You can call 308-208-6336 to listen to Sunday’s scripture and sermon!  The sermon will be uploaded on Sunday afternoon and is available 24/7 until the next Sunday’s upload.  If you’d like to listen to the full service, you can find it on the sermon archive page of our website, our YouTube channel, or on our mobile app!

The Health and Wellness winter blood drive will take place on Friday, February 13th from 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. at the Red Cross Office. You can sign up for a donation time in-between services in the gathering area.
