Ministry Within The Church

Volunteer to Serve in the Church.

Our church family includes more than 2,000 members, hundreds of children, and around 100 visitors every week, not to mention the countless groups that use our church facilities plus the Pumpkin Patch Child Care Center and Preschool. With so many people touched by this church, we all need to be a part of helping out. The only way a church can function properly is with the help of volunteers. The information included here is just a snapshot of the opportunities for service and needs of the church. Please contact the church at (308) 237-3158 and let us know what areas you would like to help in or fill out our general volunteer form.

Ministry Teams and Programs

Media Ministry Team

The Media Ministry Team is responsible for the audio, visual, and broadcast elements for our Sunday services.  If you are interested in pushing buttons while praising the Lord, then this is the team for you! Open to volunteers middle school age and up.  Volunteering can count for Confirmation hours.

Children's Ministry Team

The Children's Ministry Team is responsible for Sunday School, Wednesday night activities, and two sessions of Vacation Bible School in June and July for children infant through 5th grade.  They help the spiritual development of children.  We are a Safe Gatherings church meaning all staff and volunteers are asked to complete training and pass a background check.  Read more here!

Youth Ministry Team

The Youth Ministry Team is responsible for the middle school and high school youth groups and Confirmation classes.  They are a part of the transition from Sunday School faith to becoming young church leaders.  They help youth understand what they believe and why so they may be ready to take the next steps in their faith.

Music Ministry Team

The Music Ministry Team is comprised of many branches working together to praise God through music.  We are blessed to have a Praise Band, Choir, Vocal Ensembles, Accompanists, and the Acclamation Hand Bell Choir.  If you would like to share your musical talents, please fill out the volunteer form and let us know!

Library Program

Our church has a large collection of books from inspirational literature to materials for worship and teaching to spiritually enriching children's books.  The library is free to use.  You can check out our book catalogue by clicking the button below!

SCRIP Program

SCRIP is a gift card fundraiser.  You get to enjoy the full value of the gift cards you buy and the brands you shop at while giving back to the church.  The amount given back varies from business to business, but it's one of the best ways to treat yourself while supporting the church!

Usher and Greeter Team

The Usher and Greeter Team is perfect for those who enjoy saying good morning and being a friendly face to those coming into church.  They are the face of the church.  Their warm welcomes are the first impression visitors have which sets the tone for worship. If you have a heart for hospitality, this is the team for you!

Wednesday Meal Fundraiser

A freewill offering meal is served Wednesday nights throughout the school year from 5:15-6:45 PM in Fellowship Hall. It is a time for food and fellowship and is popular with those attending a Wednesday night activity. Others stop in for the food and fellowship on their way home. If you or a group you are a part of would like to provide a meal as a fundraising opportunity, please contact the church office for more details.
