Dear Friends: What does one say when he comes to this place in the journey? First of all, we want to say thank you. We’ve spent eleven years here. In that time, one makes many friends, says goodbye to some who have gone on to glory, and sees some people become disenchanted. Many decisions are made and they can’t all be popular. Thank you for your faithfulness and friendship. Thank you for your kindnesses and words of appreciation. We can’t begin to enumerate all the things that we’ve done together and all the joy we’ve shared. Just know we appreciate it. Now we must give up our pastoral relationship but we covet your friendship and will hold you in our prayers. Assuming that everything will go as planned (I’m writing this on June 6) we will come back from the time of retirement at Annual Conference to pack up life-long possessions and recent accumulations. I have prostate surgery scheduled for June 11 and our moving van will arrive on June 17. Thank you, in advance, to all who have supported me with prayer and all who have helped Berdeen with the agony of packing up and moving out. Also, thank you to those who have done what is necessary to get the parsonage ready for the Koelling’s arrival on June 19th. Thank you for the great send-off and gifts on June 2nd.You are a great Church and a great Church in the community. I hope you will never abandon that spirit nor that community spirit. God is, of course, always with us and it’s the hand of God that send Dr. Koelling and Rev. Harris to be in ministry with you. Love them and keep them in your prayers. Ron and Berdeen Roemmich
